neon yellow

I spotted this neon yellow sweater at work last week and it caught my attention
*everything at work catches my attention, though*

The color definitely scared me since I haven't seen the sun in a while.  Bright colors and a white skin tone . . .  scary.  But I took the plunge and bought it.  Surprising it doesn't look too totally horrible with my white pale skin.

Regardless of the neon yellow, the sweater is comfortable and my boyfriend jeans were excited to come out of my closet (it was 60 degrees out last week!)

I never know what to talk about when I post my outfit posts, so this is what I have for you guys. . .

Casual, Basic, Everyday Wear.  You can wear this outfit anywhere & everywhere.

I choose it for an afternoon full of fun at Perry Street Brewery for their one year anniversary party.  It was full of drinking delicious brews, playing cards against humanity with friends, & listening to awesome music.  If you are ever in the Spokane area, stop by and enjoy the great atmosphere at Perry Street Brewery.

guess who is finally back at posting blog posts. . .  This girl right here!

I promise, there will be some consistency at posting more.  I finally gave in and bought a Nikon D 3200, it was on super sale at Target during Black Friday.  I am still practicing with the different angles with my camera on it's tripod. This camera will be a huge reminder to snap pictures of my outfits and all of the gorgeousness in Washington.

plaid shirts have become an everyday wear on my days offs.  the best ones are found in the target men's department, they are cute, comfy, & warm.  plaid shirts are the best lazy basics.

because you're mine, I walk the line

People have special talents about them, which make them awesome in their own little way.  Come to find out, Cody, is the best at call in radio shows.  He calls, plays a game, & wins .. every single time.  It amazes me, since I have never won anything.

This past week, he won tickets to a Johnny Cash cover band, Cash'd Out.  One, I love Johnny Cash & two, I love any reason to wear an all black outfit.  We had a great time at the concert, it was little weird because we were the youngest people there.  But we enjoyed the concert, even if it was a cover band playing my favorite hits by Johnny Cash.

Last night, was date night with Cody.  We went to our favorite restaurant, Waddell's, to eat & drink.  Our date nights aren't really nights, we are more of late afternoon dinner eaters.  After working for 8 hours in red & khaki, I have like 15 minutes to get ready.

With that being said, I try to cut some time by, wearing my blouse that I wore to work.  Yesterday, it was this shirt.   I am that girl who wears red cardigans & cute blouses.  This is how I deal with wearing red & khaki every day.  I came home and threw on this peach colored shirt over my tee shirt.  Since I don't live in Florida, I have no tan, I was pretty nervous to wear this top with my pale skin & blonde hair.  But I did it anyway, and guess what, no one gave me any weird stares.

Plus, these two colors shouldn't look good together but they do and I like it.

there is not anything as basic as a pair of boyfriend jeans, a striped tee shirt, & a pair of leopard print flats.  this outfit was worn to shop to pick up new khakis for work, pick up chipotle for lunch, & then to nap.  let me just say, it has the check mark of approval for a lazy day.
summer is starting to fade into fall & I absolutely love it.

Hiawatha Bike Trail - Montana

This past Saturday, Cody had the great idea to drive over to Montana and ride the Hiawatha Trail.  I am not a huge bike rider, I mean we rode bikes in San Fran, & it was a struggle for me because of all of the hills.  He got me to fully commit to this trail with "the bike ride is all downhill" & I was sold.

We got up early on Saturday & drove over to Montana to attempt this beautiful ride.  The ride is around 14 miles through old railroad tunnels.  The first tunnel is 2 miles in the dark, & it's extremely cold.  After the first tunnel, you see a waterfalls & beautiful views of mountains.  This 14 mile trail is full of history from the old miners & railroaders.  Plus, it smells like CHRISTMAS, like full on Christmas time.  I finally realized why it smelled like that.. We were in fields of Evergreen trees, it was perfect.  I can't wait to go up there when it snows!

It was quite the adventure, and it was such an easy ride.  If you are interested in completing the trail if you are ever in the northwest, this is there website | http://www.ridethehiawatha.com/
