Road Trip | Portland, Oregon

The second stop on our trip was Portland, Oregon.

|Powell's City of Books - The largest independent new & used bookstore in the world|

|Let's just say, I could have stayed here all night long.|

|Dinner & Brews at Deschutes Brewery - Hand crafted beers & delicious food.  This restaurant had such an awesome atmosphere plus their beers were tasty.  We had an awesome time eating dinner here, if you are ever in Portland, this place is a definite must!|

|Voo Doo Doughnuts - The best doughnuts in Oregon, possibly the nation.  We had to wait around 45 minutes for our doughnuts because of the large amount of people waiting in line but it was worth the wait.  The restaurant is open 24/7 & is definitely worth the wait for a little piece of goodness.|

|We unfortunately went to the gardens at the wrong time.  None of the roses had bloomed so we didn't see any roses but all of the greenery was beautiful!|

This is the definition of the perfect road trip outfit.  Comfort, Comfort, Comfort.  Another great plus about this outfit, it can all be restyled with other pieces.  They are the perfect lazy basics.

My vacation is officially over, enter the sad faces now.  No more dressing cute every day, now I am back to the red t-shirts & the khaki pants. 

Cody, myself, & his parents went to the fun town of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho for the night.  It was a fun afternoon of walking along the lake, relaxing in the condo listening to the rain fall, & eating dinner at an Brazilian restaurant, which was delicious!! 

I just can't get over how beautiful it is in the Northwest!

I don't have a ton to say for this post.  This is the definition of a very lazy basic outfit.  Cozy cardigan, boyfriend jeans, & a cute necklace to make it look some what .. ya know, cute.

Main point of this post is.. I can finally wear sandals!  My feet have never been happier & the weather is suppose to hit 70 degrees this week.  Let's just say I might have to go shopping for some shorts & a nice tan this week.

seeing things

You definitely aren't seeing things, I am wearing the same exact cargo vest from a couple of posts ago.  I seriously can't help it, it's my favorite extra piece to throw on with my outfits.  

In Florida, layering clothes is as basic as throwing on a scarf because more than likely you will sweat with the extra layers on your body.  With living in Washington, layering is key in picking out outfits.  It's cold & windy but it's not cold enough for a big winter jacket.  You are stuck with layering pieces, & as you can tell.. my J.Crew Factory Green Cargo Vest is my go to layering piece.. 

Back to the point of this post, tonight my Florida State Seminoles are playing in the NIT Tournament (yes, I know it's not the real tournament but they are  my team through thick and thin), so I had to rock my maroon, so I wore my striped sweater & threw on my garnet & gold necklaces.  Plus, check out my Bourbon & Boweties FSU bracelet & my Alex and Ani FSU bracelet.

a delayed post

When I have to work my 6 day stretch at work, I usually wear my Target attire (red & khaki) then my pjs, this outfit of choice, never fails.  Today, was my day off (HALLELUJAH) so no red & khaki for this kid!

I have been dying to wear my new jewels that I snagged from the Bauble Bar sale a couple of weeks ago!  The minute I got this necklace in the mail, I fell in love.  I love this company's jewelry, it has such good quality, low prices, & they are just PRETTY!

When I woke up yesterday, the weather was horrible.  It was raining & cold, so Brooke insisted that we go to the gym.  I thought about a nice big breakfast but I gave in & went to the gym because, "Hey, summer is right around the corner."  After the gym session & a quick cat nap, we went outside & it was beautiful! The sun was shinning & it felt amazing, I mean people it was 50 degrees outside & my Florida self was jumping for joy!

clearance steals & deals

I (along with every other blogger) says they are queen of clearance finds! But I really am, I promise.  A couple of days ago, I went to Forever 21 to "try" to find something fun & sassy for a Friday date night.  Of course, I didn't find anything but I did find this beautiful, big, comfy sweater.  Let me say, this was the best $15 sweater I have ever found/bought/have worn.  It is so comfy and I want to wear it every single day.
