After a long day of walking around San Francisco, we made it to a beautiful view of the city.  This made for some awesome outfit pictures! I hope everyone enjoyed all of our fun road trip pictures.  It was one of the funnest trips I have been on, I can't wait to make it down to San Fran again before we move back home!

San Francisco | our road trip adventures

San Francisco was a very busy city for us on our trip.  From exploring Alcatraz, riding bikes across the Golden Gate Bridge, & walking the city we were in for a fun treat the minute we got into town.  We had a blast & I hope you enjoyed looking at our pictures! San Francisco was an awesome city to visit, if you are ever on the west coast, I would make this city a stop on your list!

Road Trip | Pacific Ocean & Napa Valley

On our road trip, we could have taken multiple routes to get to San Francisco.  We took the long route, with Highway 101.  It was definitely worth the extra hour drive on the trip down to San Fran because we were able to look at the beautiful scenery, drive through the Redwoods, & see Napa Valley.  I honestly think taking this route was the best part of the trip.. until I got car sick from the many tight turns in the mountains.

Road Trip | Redwood Forest

After Portland, we stopped in a small city in Northern California to stay the night before we stopped in to see the beautiful Redwood Trees.

|Chandelier Tree; California has 3 of these drive through trees.  We found one & had to drive through it on our way through the Redwoods.  Cody has a truck so it was a little tricky to get his vehicle through the tree.  The truck had about half an inch on either sides of the tree & I thought we were going to get stuck. |

|I had to get a few outfit pictures in the forest.  The lighting turned out pretty bad since the trees are massive they covered  up the sun!  Let's get real though, this post is all about the trees!|




With completing a 16 hour road trip down a coast, I realized that packing basics that can layer easily is the best way to pack for road trips.  The weather can be a very tricky thing to keep in mind while packing for a week long trip, especially when you are stopping in different cities down a coast.  I made sure to bring multiple short & long sleeve shirts, button ups, & my handy dandy leather jacket (more about this basic later).

Road Trip | Portland, Oregon

The second stop on our trip was Portland, Oregon.

|Let's just say, I could have stayed here all night long.|

|Dinner & Brews at Deschutes Brewery - Hand crafted beers & delicious food.  This restaurant had such an awesome atmosphere plus their beers were tasty.  We had an awesome time eating dinner here, if you are ever in Portland, this place is a definite must!|

|Voo Doo Doughnuts - The best doughnuts in Oregon, possibly the nation.  We had to wait around 45 minutes for our doughnuts because of the large amount of people waiting in line but it was worth the wait.  The restaurant is open 24/7 & is definitely worth the wait for a little piece of goodness.|

|We unfortunately went to the gardens at the wrong time.  None of the roses had bloomed so we didn't see any roses but all of the greenery was beautiful!|

This is the definition of the perfect road trip outfit.  Comfort, Comfort, Comfort.  Another great plus about this outfit, it can all be restyled with other pieces.  They are the perfect lazy basics.

Road Trip | Seattle, Washington

For the past week, I have been away from the computer due to a recent road trip we took down the west coast.

|We had a delicious dinner at Chinook's on Saturday night.  Fresh seafood & an awesome view of the water, what more could you ask for|

We had the best time in this beautiful city.  From delicious food, hot coffee from any Starbucks in the city ( there are around 450 Starbucks just in Seattle), & the beautiful views from everywhere in the city.  Seattle is a city full of walking, so don't make the mistake like I did & wear cute booties.  Just go ahead and bring your cute pair of Keds' so you will be able to enjoy all the views of the city.  Seattle is a city to visit if you are ever on the west coast.  Pike Place, the Space Needle, the first Starbucks, & ferry boats are the best things to visit when you are here!
