One of my favorite bloggers, Emily Schuman from Cupcakes & Cashmere, wore an outfit similar to the one I have on today.  After I saw this outfit on her blog, I knew that with a little shopping around I could recreate this outfit for half the cost.

Road Trip | Seattle, Washington

For the past week, I have been away from the computer due to a recent road trip we took down the west coast.

|We had a delicious dinner at Chinook's on Saturday night.  Fresh seafood & an awesome view of the water, what more could you ask for|

We had the best time in this beautiful city.  From delicious food, hot coffee from any Starbucks in the city ( there are around 450 Starbucks just in Seattle), & the beautiful views from everywhere in the city.  Seattle is a city full of walking, so don't make the mistake like I did & wear cute booties.  Just go ahead and bring your cute pair of Keds' so you will be able to enjoy all the views of the city.  Seattle is a city to visit if you are ever on the west coast.  Pike Place, the Space Needle, the first Starbucks, & ferry boats are the best things to visit when you are here!

friday night outing

Last night, a bunch of our friends got together for a small going away dinner for another couple.  We ended up at Steelhead Bar & Grille, just a heads up, if anyone is in Spokane & is looking for a delicious restaurant with a great atmosphere, you should just head there.  Our group had a fabulous time, laughing, eating, & drinking.

I have been looking for the right time to wear this peplum top, since it's still chilly at night in Washington, I had to find the perfect jacket.  After browsing pinterest for ideas, I realized I had my Mamma's cheetah print cardigan that I borrowed from her.  Hello, perfect addiction to my top, & thank you Mamma.

If you are near your Target, head to their shoe department, these shoes should be on clearance for $25 bucks.  Plus these shoes are extremely comfy, which is a plus coming from a girl who hates wearing heels.

I am a huge fan of chambray tops & an even bigger fan of slouchy t - shirts.  Then when you add your favorite pair of boyfriend jeans plus a new sparkly necklace that you just had to have from a new favorite online store. .. 

Well you have yourself a perfect outfit.  These are my favorite outfit pieces to wear.  It's perfect for morning coffee, shopping with your mamma through text (I swear it's a lot more fun to shop with your mamma in person but when you live on the other side of the nation, you have to find ways to shop with your favorite shopping person), or to just play in the back yard with your favorite puppy..

For the last kicker, today in Spokane it was 55 degrees outside.  I jumped for joy because of how warm it was outside.  Come on 75 degrees, I need a TAN!

plaid & fur

This is a good definition of my comfy + cute outfit.  I wore this outfit to dinner with friends a couple of nights ago (but no pictures were taken, so it's like it never happened).  For this afternoon, when we went sight seeing in Spokane, I  wore my new fur vest from Brina Box!  It is the perfect vest to throw over any outfit that needs an extra push to make it look 100%!  

I have never worn a printed t -shirt underneath a button - up plaid shirt, so this is me taking a little fashion risk with trying new styles! What does everyone think of it? Would you try it out?!

This weekend, I was blessed to get a visit from my little sister.  We went down town to Spokane River Front to walk around & eat lunch & shop some!  I am so excited to show Brooke around this town & share some quality sister time together
